Influence of the Readings

I am choosing a grid system that is based off of Honnecourt's method of making a grid. However, I am changing some of the dimensions of the margins to take up a little more of the page. After much consideration, I have decided to go with a book that is six inches wide and nine inches tall. I think that this size will better suit the text by allowing more content on each page without making the book overly large. For the typeface, I am wanting to do a serifed typeface for all of the different stylistic treatments that they have. I either want to do a typeface that was used the same time the book was originally printed or one that picks up on some of the other worldly aspects of the story line.
